New Missionary Training for July Batch

On August 9th, the new missionaries gathered at the Urdaneta Stake Center for training.  After a week in their areas, they all looked more rested. Here are a few pictures that were taken after the training....

Typhoon Labuyo

UPDATE:  August 14, 2013
Typhoon Labuyo has moved out to sea. The missionaries who didn't email on Monday, had the opportunity to send emails yesterday.  There was no rain today--it was a beautiful, sunny day!

Hello Families and Friends,
Today, August 12th, is P-day for all our missionaries.  They do many things to prepare for the week, which includes sending emails to their families.  Unfortunately, Typhoon Labuyo is coming through our mission bringing with it lots of wind and rain.  There may be flooding in some areas, so we have decided to have our missionaries stay indoors today.  They will get a lot of studying and cleaning done :)  Don't worry--our missionaries are safe and this is just a precaution.  The major part of the typhoon is over northern Luzon.  Urdaneta Mission is in central Luzon so we are not experiencing the severe part of the storm.  You will be receiving an email from your missionary sometime later today or, more likely, tomorrow.  Thanks for your patience and understanding.  If you have questions or concerns, please email the mission office at:   1986384@ldschurch.org
